Meet the neighbors:

Mission: We live out our Jewish values through education, spiritual practice, respect for the earth, tikkun olam and artistic expression.

From www.ic.org/directory/jewish-community/:

See www.facebook.com/newyorkkibbutz for the most up-to-date information. Right now we have facilities for Shabbatons and other gatherings, where like-minded souls meet regularly. A property is being sought after by myself and others for a Intentional Jewish Community. Our current resources enable us to have gatherings year-round. Many people have an ideal notion of Community without ever having hands-on experience to determine if they enjoy the lifestyle. Another obstacle to living Intentionally is the difficulty in forming relations with those who not only share the same values but are committed to living in an Intentional Community. An opportunity thus is provided for individuals and families who are considering Intentional Community, to live in and experience community for a week, a month, a season. Bonds will be formed and a network will be created. Living together on a part-time basis will help to determine where, with whom, and how we want to live together before making a dramatic, life-altering decision to join an IC. In this fashion we will slowly but surely reach a critical mass of people and resources. This network will then begin the process of forming a permanent community in the place of our choosing.
