Global-Natives at Mt. SoNNoS is part of an interconnected network of communities, most in the early formative stages. The core of these communities' philosophy is the BIOversity - a place of alternative teaching and learning that promotes alternative, we consider more fruitful and fulfilling, ways of living with a deeper, more respectful and spiritual connection with Mother Earth.

We are very few permanent residents, but many more transient visiting Global-Native tribal members from across the globe. People often stay from just days to weeks to months, but hopefully we can establish a larger core of more permanent years-long members.

We aspire to become more self-reliant but not isolating or insulating ourselves from broader, more conventional society. We maintain completely open doors and, at this point especially, strive to plant seeds of inspiration in the hearts and minds of all visitors, whether from the local, national, or global community.

By Western standards, our lifestyle appears very simple, with minimal electricity, appliances, hi-tech gadgetry, or amenities. But our lifestyle is rich and, in many ways, deeply complex as we rediscover our cultural heritage of intimate, community-based living, more connected to our so-called natural environment, striving to daily better understand the daily rhythms of the human and non-human worlds and the beautifully complex plant and animal worlds.
