Meet the neighbors:

Mission: PORCH’s mission is to create a biodiverse community space that is healing, welcoming, educational, inclusive and nourishing through gardening communally; creating ecological restorative demonstration sites; and holding open community work days, workshops, and festive outdoor social gatherings in the Buckeye neighborhood of Cleveland.

We imagine a future where people work cooperatively to support individual thrivelihoods while stewarding the land and community culture simultaneously building a resilient and diverse ecosystem.

From www.ic.org/directory/possibilitarian-regenerative-community-homestead-porch/:

PORCH stands for Possibilitarian Regenerative Community Homestead. In basic terms, PORCH is a house with 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms, five bedrooms, 2 shared living/dining room gathering spaces, 2 porches and a large community permaculture garden attached. PORCH is a 5 years developing, and currently newly burgeoning, opportunity to live in a structured community environment, where collective work and engagement with the community are included in the housing agreement. There are currently 2 residents in the house, and 2 official non-resident collaborators. We are looking for 3 new people to live in the house starting as soon as May 2016. Applicants should be interested in engaging with community, as well as working to maintain and improve upon an intentional community homestead model.

We are all about exploring what's possible through a community of shared values of people care, earth care and fair share... which translates to the values of communication, accountability and respect, creativity, open community, collective labor and collaboration, direct democracy, social and political consciousness, resilience and diversity, safer space, playfulness, inclusion, and place-based activism.
