Woodacre Co-Housing

Mission: The community vision ... weekly organic meals on a casual basis; occasional work parties to plant gardens, install greywater, build our chicken coop, etc.; helping each other out in various ways and sharing childcare / petcare / etc. as we are inspired; practicing conscious communication and hopefully expanding the community over the years into a demonstration of an alternative, sustainable, connected lifestyle.

We tend to be into health, outdoors, permaculture , environmental awareness, music, yoga, meditation, NVC, counseling, qi gong, hiking, etc. But mostly, we just want good people who want to be in casual community and who are willing to work through challenges when they do arise.

We are a newly forming, kid-friendly community, inspired by permaculture and co-housing paradigms. We started with two adjacent properties in a sunny part of Woodacre; the total land is about 2/3 of an acre. We've been knocking down the fence between the properties and planting gardens. It's already gorgeous and it's just getting better over time! There will be 4 households by May 1 (available now). So far there are 5 of us - we are one adult couple and two single adults happily co-parenting our 7-year-old girl.
