Mission: Green New World is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing autonomous and regenerative residential models such as Project HOPE that empowers people to live an ecological and carbon free lifestyle. Green New World is committed to research, design and education of novel regenerative methods and technology that provide solutions to energy, water, waste, shelter and food production. Our designs utilize an integrative whole system approach to integrate technologies from various fields such as biomimicry, permaculture design, holistic sciences, vernacular architecture, biophilia and biotechture. Green New World's first carbon negative residential prototype, HOPEone is anticipated to be completed by 2019.

Green New World’s educational research center, Finca Nuevo Mundo is being developed in the valley of Tzununa close to the shores of Lake Atitlan in the Highlands of Guatemala to experiment and showcase regenerative and sustainable living models while restoring harmony with nature. Our models integrate principles and designs from numerous fields such as permaculture, biophilic design, holistic sciences, biomimicry, vernacular biotechture and appropriate technology with focus on shelter, water, energy, food and zero waste systems. The project site has 10 acres with an avocado forest, shaded coffee, bananas, papayas, citrus trees, 6 mountain springs, three streams, waterfalls nearby and great views of the lake and surrounding volcanoes. As part of the experience at Finca Nuevo Mundo we like to share our lifestyle as a community by living ecologically and being mindful stewards in our daily choices while we share the space as a community by sharing meals, exploring the beautiful area, playing music or have meaning full conversations. While not engaged with the project there are plenty of activities in the area such as visiting nearby waterfalls, going for a swim in the lake, exploring the beautiful area, kayaking, visiting the neighboring villages, taking a Spanish class, playing music, taking yoga classes, taking a sauna, or simply having good conversations with the amazing people that our project attracts.
We are currently building a Net Zero Carbon Negative model home known as the House Of PeacE aka HOPE which is an experimental prototype to develop autonomous regenerative residential buildings. The structure consists of a cluster of four interwoven domes out of Superadobe also known as Earthbags that form a peace symbol. HOPE integrates a holistic water system with a rain catchment, a water recycling system where every drop of water is used 4 times, natural grey-water filters, a hybrid renewable energy system and a sewage recycling system to make biogas while capturing atmospheric carbon dioxide and converting it to organic fertilizer and soil amendments.
