Meet the neighbors:

Mission: Organic farming collective working and living together to produce a majority of our own food, including meat, milk and produce.

From www.ic.org/directory/common-treasury-farm/:

Common Treasury Farm is certified organic (since 1993) and located 27 miles from the Pacific Ocean nestled in a small valley. Our farm lies along a year-round creek and is mostly surrounded by National Forest. The farm is 1 hour drive to any size-able town (Corvallis). We raise sheep, milking goats, pigs, chickens, a milking cow and several beef cows. The garden is an acre of assorted vegetable crops, an additional acre of blueberries, along with raspberries, strawberries and the wild blackberries. We have one larger (30' X 90') and one smaller greenhouse on the property for season extension. We maintain irrigation rights to our creek and irrigate both pastures and gardens. We grow our own fiber flax and process our sheep fleeces for spinning. We speak English and Spanish. We eat a wide assortment of food from vegetarian to dairy to farm raised meat. Accommodations include indoor private space, shared bathroom and kitchen, wood heat. Email for first contact and then we will schedule a follow up phone chat. No drop ins. We are not a large community and have very complicated schedules to juggle farm and off-farm income, so as much lead time as possible is best for planning a visit. We charge $40 per person/ per day for food and the time it takes for us to show you the land and spend several hours discussing the possibility of living together.

We are a working farm. Please be mindful of that and leave dogs at home during your visit. Please understand that as we grow most of our own milk, meat and veggies, there are times of the year when we may not have time to play host or show you around. Also, please do next expect to come here and "hang out" or be on vacation.

At present we are actively looking for a couple or several single individuals who already have experience in rural living, community life and agricultural endeavors. We currently have open housing spaces available for the right person(s). As this is a very rural area, and we are not income sharing, the situation lends itself to people with an established internet-based part time job or those who pursue seasonal work elsewhere. We are NOT interested in folks seeking to grow cannabis here!
