Golden Rule-Rainbow-Community
& Permaculture Demo-farm
On a small Island south-west of Bohol in the Philippines we are establishing a Community based on spiritual aspects.
At the same time we do self sustaining farming and follow permaculture principles on a lot of almost 1'700 sqm.
The lot has around 7 different sections containing:
1. Entrance, Rest House with basement, workshop, open- and deep-well
2. Forest Garden with composting area, compost toilet, outdoor shower, Bird cage, water storage and grow beds
3. Shaded Labyrinth garden and sweat lodge
4. Japanese Pond Garden
5. Rocky pits with Meditation Hall base for Geodesic Dome
6. (Earth-House/future project) Ditch with recognizable cliff side
7. Rocky Coral hill with different plant varieties
A small rest house of native style gives us shelter from moody weather. The climate is tropical, sometimes rainy but mostly warm.
A Solar-Island-System provides us with electricity and a deep well pump ensures us plenty of water with the small disadvantage of salinity.
The farm is located on mostly flat alvar terain, approx 10m above sea level and about 1km away from the sea cliffs.
Our rest house can accommodate people in 3 small rooms.
Currently there are 4 people, 1 cat, 4 dogs, 1 rabbit, fish and a few chickens living at the Rainbow Farm.
We are still open for new members and volunteers;
People with skills and sencitivity towards the surrounding as spiritual guides and practicioners are most welcome.
Coming here is for most people, which are not used to Asia a bit of a culture shock.
We are trying ourselves to find the balance between the local culture, other species of plants and the cultural background we come from. Sometimes it's necessary to look at things with less expectations to manage daily challenges in communication with locals.
Anyhow, we just like you to know that we take our spiritual path very serious, practice unselfish love in meditation and in our daily action. We testing our limits for example with diets and fastenings. Sure there are slight adjustments for everybody’s health situation included, because one have to be ready for certain steps.
