//COMMMUNITY DESCRIPTION//
Springwater is a lay-led and covenanted neighborhood-rooted church of Anabaptist conviction. We're in ten houses (19 members and novices, 12 kids, many chickens, 3 dogs) within a 5-minute walk

We gather around practices which express shared values such as simplicity, nonviolence, mutual discernment, and justice-seeking. Our pocket of Portland's eclectic Lents neighborhood is the arena for us to experiment with working all that out.

We gather weekly with a meal to celebrate what Jesus has been up to in the neighborhood. We also gather mid-week either for a neighborhood initiative/project/activity/event, a family business meeting, or small discipling groups. Households and clusters of households meet up throughout the week over meals according to their own schedule and hopes.

Oh, and a lot of us bicycle and vegetable garden. :)
