Casco Bay Clam Cooperative

Casco Bay Clams was established in 2006 "when a select group of harvesters decided to combine their skills and passion to save and recognize the trade of genuine shell fish harvesting." They are the only company in New England that seeds, harvests, shucks, and sells clams by the bushels and gallons, and the only shellfish cooperative on the Eastern Seaboard. 14 members.

Mission:
Casco Bay Clams was established in January of 2006 when a select group of harvesters decided to combine their skills and passion to save and recognize the trade of genuine shell fish harvesting. By forming this co-operative of harvesters, Casco Bay Clams, has a combined 300 plus years of experience.Proud to be the only company in New England that seeds, harvests, shucks, and sells clams by the bushels and gallons, Casco Bay Clams takes proactive steps to be involved in the full cycle of the claming industry.
