My husband and I are homesteaders just getting started. The hope for our community is to be a place of learning and healing.
There isn’t a plan written in stone, because come what may, but here are a few things we would like to build and invite others to come help:
An active rotating field of livestock and annual vegetables
Buildings using clay slip and straw
A large space for creative work and dance
A permaculture forest garden
Hospice for our elders
Foster care for children
Offer work trades for travelers

We are on 10 acres, half forest and half field.
We have all our permits for building our first dwelling, which we had an architect design for code. It’s clay and timber framed and the build begins next year (2019).
It’s been such a mad scramble since we bought the land that we haven’t been able to work it or put seed down, hopefully that can happen next year too.
