From www.ic.org/directory/blue-hill-eco-community-land-trust/:

We are in the early stages of cocreating a eco community land trust in the small seaside community of Blue Hill, located about 45 minutes from Acadia National Park in Downeast Maine. We created the Farming Artists LLC to acquire access to a 133 acre farm property that had been in one family for 5 generations. The LLC currently holds the land in a 4 year agriculture lease with option to purchase agreement. We have drafted extensive operating agreements and in intend to share the land in perpetuity among 9 family homesteads of 2 acres each. We also intend to lease to several resident owned businesses both independently and cooperatively structured. Our core values are centered upon learning to live in right relationship with the natural world and with other human beings.
