Meet the neighbors:

Mission: The Community of Living Traditions at Stony Point Center is dedicated to practicing radical hospitality, engaging faith, cultivating nonviolence and social justice. We are multi-generational, multifaith and multiracial.

From www.ic.org/directory/community-of-living-traditions-at-the-stony-point-conference-center/:

We are a multifaith intentional community of Jews, Christians and Muslims who live on the property of the Stony Point Conference Center owned by the Presbyterian church, open to all. Our mission is to bring together people of the Abrahamic faiths to live and work together to help run a conference and retreat center. We are dedicated to the practice of radical hospitality, nonviolence, social justice and earthcare. Learning from each tradition, we support each other in our individual practices. Our conference center is dedicated to providing meeting space, healthy food and radical hospitality to groups of all kinds. We especially want to provide a retreat space for those working in the world to bring change and justice.

Work tasks include, farming, work in the kitchen to help serve our guests, staff and residents, front desk, transportation, work in our Fair Trade Gift shop. We also have community meetings, programs and self-education. Housing and food, a small stipend and health insurance, is provided for full-time residents. Residents stay for a minimum of 3-6 months and we also have long-term residents. For more information see our website: www.stonypointcenter.org. We just opened an amazing art space.
