True Self Eco-Village

Mission: Our primary goal as a group is to help all involved to free themselves of their spiritual ignorance of the True Self. Our secondary goal is to develop an Eco-Village.

True Self Eco-Village is a center where we envision spiritual practitioners can gather to help one another deepen their knowledge of Who we truly are and establish a sustainable way of life in an Eco-Village setting. In order to initiate these goals, we need to assemble a group of co-founders who would meet regularly in Spokane, WA for the purpose of discussing the type of community that participants would like to form. At this time, we can determine where people's interests lie and learn what they can commit themselves to doing in a collectively implemented project.

During these meetings, we could discuss how this vision would fit into our lives. We could focus on related and practical goals people might be ready to commit to actualizing. We already have a well-maintained homestead where we have striven to live a food and energy self-reliant lifestyle since 1990. This would be a ready made setting for those who sense this to be a stable foundation upon which to build a sustainable way of life. People might want to join us in this lifestyle and set up households or camp sites. Or, members may want to support the establishment of a CSA where they could come to the farm once a week to collect baskets of fresh, organically grown produce. Using a land trust format seems to be the most practical approach which would integrate the co-founders into becoming the Trustees and Beneficiaries of this trust.

In the planning process, we can carefully consider what each individual could commit their energies to in the development of this Eco-Village and write up its mission statement, other important documents and material details. We can also discuss how we might combine our efforts with other aware individuals, who are not members of our co-op effort, in order to help one another transit the social and environmental crisis unfolding in The World. In the near future, the importance of developing such cooperative and collaborative infrastructures cannot be understated.

We are also receptive to dialoguing with those who are interested in associate memberships. Those who might live in distant locations could become involved in the Eco-Village in supportive roles. We also have an opportunity available for a couple or individual with organic growing experience who would like to join us in the capacity of stewards of the land and to establish a CSA. We have the necessary growing infrastructures and tools, and all profits would go to the growers as we do not need any compensation.

Our ultimate wish is to effectively synchronize with those who realize that evolutionary imperatives are calling us to transcend our separateness and to unite our efforts in an intentional community setting.
