Meet the neighbors:

Mission: Vision:
-A world in which all people, human and non-human, and plants live in a balanced, equal, and completely sustainable relationship.
-A world in which all people contribute to each others spiritual, emotional, and mental development by supporting each person's authentic expression and playful exploration.

Mission:
-To create a sustainable ecovillage which functions as a base for people to live in balance and compassion while fully expressing their authentic selves.
-To create a space for people to visit and learn about sustainability and spiritual development.
-To live neo-tribally as a mindful and compassionate community which supports each member with each step on whichever life path they choose.

From www.ic.org/directory/ubuntu-ecovillage/:

Ubuntu is a Zulu word which translates roughly to mean "human kindness," but the first time we ever heard the term it was explained to mean "I am because we are." Either way, it is the philosophy around which our community is based. Ubuntu Ecovillage is a forming ecovillage (a community based around sustainability) that is committed to community based living and mutual spiritual and philosophical growth.

We share common spiritual practices based on New Age, Earth-based religions, Eastern religions, and New Thought. Our common living practices are inspired by Daniel Quinn's New Tribalism, and are focused on a responsible, equal, and natural human relationship with the Earth and non-human people (animals). As such, our diet is ovo-vegetarian, and all members are committed to a practice of compassion toward all living things.
