From www.ic.org/directory/eds-house/:

There are 8 of us in a 2 family house on the Cambridge line in
Somerville. Except for Ed everyone here is a student, a researcher or
a working professional in their 20's or early 30's. We all get along &
do things together at times. The Tuesday night potluck is a nice
social event of the house. There you can often meet cool scientists
and artists from Cambridge area. Other times we may plan a movie
night, a hiking trip or something else and our friends or extended
community joins as well. Most often, of course, things just happen
spontaneously. (There is no mandatory attendance to any function.)

We would be an ideal community for those who wish to enjoy living
together but would not like an overabundance of rules, chores or time
processing them. At Ed's house, everyone takes responsibilities within
themselves. We do not have specific chores per se, however, when we
notice that something needs to be done we assess within ourselves if
it might be our turn to do it. Same is true with commonly shared
items. For instance, if you notice that the olive oil is low & you
haven't bought any in a while you might pick some up the next time you
go shopping. We each buy our own food but may opt to share any of that
to the house. Our lives are too busy to fuss about these details any
more than that. Needless to say, our house is drama free. We realize
that the harmony amongst us is worth so much more than what any stress
or tension could ever bring.

So write us back if you would like to live with us in our nice old
house with great people all around you. Hardwood floors to walk on,
mechanical laundry machines to work for you and a nice old gas stove
to cook whatever your little heart desires. We are a short 10 to 15
minute walk to Harvard square and the T, near Inman, 5 min to union,
15 to porter, 25 to central, on the 86, 83 and a couple others but in
such a nice quiet neighborhood (just over the Cambridge line in
Somerville) that you wouldn't know how close you are to everything.

We will have rooms that open up now & then & cost between $700 and $1350 per month.
They come with free utils, wifi, internet, laundry etc...
