Mission: Le Manoir is an quebec income sharing intentional community. It supplies shelter (one shared house) and healthy and responsible food (mainly grown on site) to its members. It offers its members a different social environment to experiment new ways to live together and to develop their full potential, while having an impact on their extended community.

The vision we have for le Manoir community is a balance of the following 5 principles:

Le Manoir is an income sharing intentional community project. It aims food and energy sovereignty and plans to be fossil fuel free in a horizon of 20 years. It is based on egalitarian, anti-capitalist, anti-authoritarian, feminist and activist values. As so, it is meant to be an active member of its larger community. In concret terms, le Manoir consists in one residence, large enough to host a minimum of 12 permanent members. This collective living space allows for sharing and practicing a healthy and enriching way of life that sustains each member's well-being and thriving and thus life in general. Inspired by principles of permaculture, radical simplicity, non-violent communication and anarchist practices and theories, this space is one of experimentation.
Le Manoir community plans to settle on a piece of land in rural Quebec by 2016.

We have a land, soon in common. We also have an organic farm on the land. We are eager to share any information we might have, or answer any question you might have.

Le Manoir est un projet de communauté intentionnelle québécoise à revenu partagé. Elle vise l'autosuffisance alimentaire, énergétique ainsi que l'indépendance au pétrole, dans un horizon d'environ 20 ans. Elle se veut égalitaire, anti-capitaliste, anti-autoritaire, féministe, activiste, membre à part entière de la communauté élargie. Plus concrètement, cette communauté consiste en une seule résidence pouvant accueillir minimalement une douzaine de personnes, en milieu rural. Ce lieu de vie permet le partage et la mise en pratique d'un mode de vie sain et enrichissant, visant le bien-être et l'épanouissement de chacun-e de ses membres et de la vie en général. Inspiré des principes de la permaculture, de la simplicité volontaire, de la communication non-violente et des théories et pratiques anarchistes, c'est un espace d'expérimentation.

Nous sommes bientôt collectivement propriétaires de notre terre. Ça fait depuis 2016 que nous y habitons. Nous avons aussi une ferme bio sur la terre où certain-es d'entres nous travaillons. Nous vous invitons à visiter notre site internet (manoir.community), sur lequel nous ajoutons régulièrement des articles qui couvrent l'avancée de nos démarches (visites, conférences, formations), des études de cas (communautés existantes mises en relation par rapport aux valeurs importantes pour nous), et des réflexions.
