Meet the neighbors:

Mission: Bay Area home for a small, eco-conscious group whose passion is to use the land for service work.

From www.ic.org/directory/coho-canyon/:

Coho Canyon is a micro-community founded in 1991 and best defined as a micro-village, cooperative or LLC. Located in the hills of the San Geronimo Valley in West Marin, County, California, we are in possession of two adjoining, south-facing parcels neighboring 170 acres of undeveloped, natural forest.
Currently, we have three partners and are open to adding additional partners. Anyone interested should know that Marin County real estate is very pricey and, unfortunately, we are encumbered with a high monthly mortgage. A down payment for new members is in the neighborhood of $100K. Also, new partners would start out renting one of Coho Canyon's detached dwellings for up to two years before becoming a new partner. New partners will be able to manifest their ideas suitable for their needs. It could be as simple as a tenants in common where a vegetable garden is the only thing that is shared, or the new partners could agree on sharing all kinds of facilities which might include kitchens, workshops, yurts, etc.
At this point in time what we have to offer is the land and two dwellings to get started but, unlike many other cohousing groups, who already have created a well defined community, we are in the early stages and open to many ideas that the new partners envision.
