From www.ic.org/directory/confluence/:

ABOUT:

Confluence is an Intentional Community in Columbus, Ohio that comes together annually to participate in a year long Episcopal Service Corps program for college graduates or young adults with comparable experience who commit to a year of spiritual formation, vocational discernment, social justice and intentional community. The Confluence Year runs from August - July.

Spend a year in INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY learning to live simply and sustainably in a home with four others in the impoverished lower west side neighborhood of Franklinton in Columbus, OH.

Go deep into VOCATIONAL DISCERNMENT working with a leading social service organization doing dynamic work on the margins. Participants work 35 hours per week with organizations like, the Ohio Assc. of Food Banks, Boys and Girls Club, Franklinton Development Assc, and more.

Enact SOCIAL JUSTICE through volunteering with neighborhood non profits like the community gardens and bicycle co-op, both started by Jezreel, an Intentional Community in Franklinton

Pursue SPIRITUAL FORMATION through contemplative practices with your housemates, and worship and service opportunities with St. John's Episcopal Church which serves the large homeless population of Franklinton.

Confluence community members receive, health insurance, room & board incl. a full share CSA, monthly stipend, Bus pass and bicycle, and internet & utilities.
