Poet's Plaggen

Mission: The house is dedicated to providing affordable workforce and student housing and growing our own food. We have surrounded the building with a 20-tree food forest as well as raised beds. Being a quiet community in a quiet neighborhood, we are dedicated to non-violent communication and lowering our environmental impact.

Poet's Plaggen is a suburban homestead in a quiet golf course community. The name of the community is a play on words of the name of the neighborhood, Bardmoor. Since a moor refers to ancient boggy soil and the development is built on mostly sand, we decided to rename it plaggen - an extremely fertile anthropogenic soil. The house has a library, workshop, home office, pool, 5 bedrooms and two baths. We will be expanding to 7 bedrooms and 3 baths in the near future and eventually take the house off-grid.
