From www.ic.org/directory/roots-branches/:
We are eight people who are professionally or personally involved in psychology, the arts, environmental education, somatics, integrative medicine, yoga, and social justice. Many of us are dancers, creators, conscious communicators, and practitioners of different modalities. We live in a large beautiful house in the Temescal district of Oakland, close to Piedmont Avenue. This beautiful old house has wood floors and paneling, many cozy common spaces, a shared kitchen, washer/dryer/clothes line, a small garden, and an awesome fenced yard with wild growing rosemary, jade and redwoods. We are about a 12 minute walk to MacArthur BART.We have a collective house meeting once a month and share household responsibilities including cleaning, shopping, garbage, etc. Common in our home are lively conversations, opportunities to connect and self-reflect, space to recharge and practice self-care, and wonderful gatherings (for Shabbat, music, dancing, rituals, etc.).
