Still Learning House

Mission: We encourage continuous learning for collective liberation, supporting each other against oppression both internal & external, both individual & systemic. We focus on intersectional social and environmental justice of all kinds.

Community-focused residents & friends working together in mutual aid. The house (which we're always working to improve in wheelchair-accessibility & environmental friendliness) is located on road with a bus route, bike lanes, and accessible sidewalks; less than 2 miles from downtown and less than half a mile from a variety of parks & wooded areas (both dirt-path & paved).
We are in the continuous process of finding ways to better include residents/friends/visitors of marginalized identities. These involves many efforts including promoting use & learning of American Sign Language; using only nontoxic products; and cultivating a culture around consent, accountability, cultural sensitivity, and open communication.
There is currently a cat in residence, and plans for foster children in coming years.
