Salama Heritage Ecovillage (SHE) Tanzania is a human-scale settlement based in Chaga Community-Kiromo Ward, Bagamoyo District Council, Pwani Region of Tanzania north of Tanzania's Economic Capital Dar es Salaam. The community has been designed through participatory processes to secure a long -term sustainability as a model for sustainable livelihoods and development in Rural Tanzania. We apply the four (4) dimensions (Economic, Ecological, Social and Cultural), mutually reinforcing each other, and attention to each is essential for holistic rural community development in Tanzania.
