Mission: Our mission it to nurture and support each other in personal and spiritual growth so that action for social justice is done from a contemplative space.

The cottage of contemplative living is an intentional house community in New Orleans, Louisiana, dedicated to contemplative practices of meditation and prayer, both private and communal, spiritual growth, sustainable living, and works of social justice. Each member shares in house chores, working the garden about three hours a week, and communal prayer or meditation at least twice a week. Each member is self-supporting with outside compensated work and contributes toward the household expenses of shared living spaces, private bedroom, garden expenses, utility bills, and other household expenses.
