Mission: We are looking for other people to be a part of designing our focus and mission. We're interested in compassionate communication, community building, permaculture, eco-villages, sustainability, micro-farming, etc.

From www.ic.org/directory/common-roots-co-op/:

We are currently 2 adults with 2 children seeking like-minded individuals to create a co-housing community in the DC area. Currently we are focusing our search in the Prince George's County area, where currently no other IC's exist. The easily available and relatively affordable rural land, yet close proximity to the city make it a great option for people working in the city who want a communal, sustainable, slower pace of life within a reasonable commuting distance to Washington DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis.

We would love to find more individuals interested in getting in on the planning! We seek to create a diverse community and will not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, race or sexuality. We are flexible and diverse in our interests depending on the interests of the community. Personally we are interested in community building, gardening, sustainability, micro-farming and homesteading.

We are seeking democratic and and community-minded people who want to come together to care for the land and create community through various interests and shared spaces (like community gardens, jam nights, camp fires, potlucks, board game nights, etc.). We're looking for visionary and energetic people who want to join us in the planning stages and be a part of designing our mission and goals!
