Tropical lowland jungle of Central Mexico just off Pacific Coast. Property where village is forming is an active camp site for us. We have an established coffee orchard to provide a limited joint income. We are actively building cob homes. We want to have about 16 people, that may vary if we incorporate breeding or adoptive human folk. Diversity is more than welcome: race, gender, oreintation, gender identity absolutely NOT an issue...it may work in your favor! We are attempting to practice several principles: permaculture, primitivism, sustainability and true communal principals, including polyamory if that suits your mindset. Right now, it is best if you have savings or a portable income. It does not cost much to live here. $200 per month is more than enough to stay fed, clothed, and nurtured. We have a home in a small town nearby that we can retreat too when the jungle work becomes overwhelming. The home is BASIC. 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a semi-shower....no hot water. But shelter and respite from jungle if needed. It is one block from the store that sells all the basic things you need. Very few people speak English...speaking Spanish is a definite advantage. It's not France, locals don't look down on you for not speaking their language, but it's hard to negotiate simple things i you don't speak the language. Currently we do not have a vehicle. The hike to the property is only 1.5 miles. The next town over, Las Varas, is about 20 minutes by car. Ocean is just about 10 miles.
