Meet the neighbors:
Mission: We act to create a more just Israeli society, and to minimize social-economical gaps, acts of racism, violence and sexism, and live by values of equality and cooperation. We are an Educator's Kibbutz, meaning that our main focus and mission is achieving social change through education. Most members study education and work with youth and children in different educational frameworks.
From www.ic.org/directory/kibbutz-shoshana-rose/:
We are an "Urban Kibbutz", i.e. a Socialist intentional community that lives in urban center and have a shared economy, mutual goals and missions, community life and events, etc.Our Kibbutz numbers 40+ members from ages 25-27, and is located at the central city Rishon Le Ziyon in Israel. We live in the same neighborhood in roughly 10 different apartments that we rent. We have a fully shared economy (all income goes to the same bank account) and we manage our expenses together through conversations and consensus.
We are part of a larger movement called "Kvutzot Habhira" ("The Choosing Groups"), which is a movement of alumni of the socialist youth movement "Hamahanot Haolim".
