WOW House (Wild Old Women)

WOW House(Wild Old Women) is a community of women living in an awesome old house on N. Capitol Hill in Seattle. WOW House is a cooperative community living collectively since 1978 and became a member of the Evergreen Land Trust in 2009. We are comprised of older lesbian women with the aim and desire to live in peace and with grace into our old age. Our current household is comprised of 3 women, 1 dog, 4 cats, 1 Moloccan Cockatoo and 6 chickens. We have a beautiful garden with a small raised vegetable bed, eat organic food when possible (including meat). We are committed to and work towards sustainable living practices, are environmentally conscious and we are passionate about issues related to healing and social justice. We are committed to advocating for women's issues in particular (though not exclusively)and changing the world one potluck at a time. We host neighborhood meditation sits twice a week.
