Mission: Adults Living Well Together in Community

From www.ic.org/directory/omega-house/:

Omega House is a big beautiful home located south of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It has been an intentional community since 1968.

We are diverse in age and gender, and queer-friendly. Our home is often a gathering place for community events, and we like to be involved with our neighborhood.

In the summer we have a CSA share, and throughout the year we collectively buy food from our local coop. Omega manages the community garden located next door to the house, and residents are involved in taking care of the garden. We value living sustainably and many of us are particularly interested in sustainable agriculture and food justice. We also own a Hobby Farm/Piece of forest land in northern wisconsin we retreat to for projects and bonding.

We operate according to flexible principles of consensus. Residents are expected to contribute financially, share maintenance responsibilities, and engage with the community through labor and regular meetings.

Residents have private bedrooms, and all other rooms and spaces are shared.
