The 28.4 acre Twin Pines Country Plantation & Guest Ranch is an authentic survivalist , self-sufficient , and conservative oriented eco-friendly and community-involved growing and expanding operation in rural east central Georgia.

We produce all of our own electricity and plan to heat our buildings using wood burning stoves and fireplaces , and we are in the process of establishing a garden , orchards , and vineyard where we will grow all of the vegetables we need for our own consumption , sale , and bartering.

Buildings are being constructed to achieve virtual 100% efficient use of energy (i.e. R40+ insulation in walls and roof).

All water used for drinking , household use , livestock , irrigation , and fire suppression is harvested from rainwater runoff and stored in large , elevated , above ground storage tanks.

Gardens , fruit orchards , vineyards , wild hog traps , and a variety of animals and poultry will be used to minimize the impact of runaway food prices and predicted future shortages.

Plans are underway and scheduled to implement a substantial number of diverse revenue generation projects with all residents sharing in the proceeds of these ventures , including the establishment of a "Guest Ranch" , and a "Safe House" that will include such activities as wild hog hunting & trapping , daily horse riding , ATV rides , fishing , cook-outs , hiking trails , farm chores , etc.

Excess food production will be donated to needy causes , sold , fed to livestock , and bartered for various goods and services from our neighbors.

We are in constant contact with the rest of the world using high speed internet access and mobile phones , while taking maximum advantage of our quiet , clean , and beautiful rural setting.

We make extensive use of the latest technology and products available to optimize our efficiency , comfort , and effectiveness.

Our members attend the churches of their choice throughout the surrounding community on an optional regular weekly basis , they participate in their favorite community service activities on a regular monthly basis , and they take part in other community activities as well - to ensure we remain an integral , valued , and welcome member of the surrounding communties.

In summary , we maximize our self-sufficiency and survivability while taking full advantage of what modern technology , materials , and the internet offers - while enjoying the many benefits , advantages and freedoms of our rural environment.
