Mission: MISSION
St. Joseph Farm is a Catholic intentional community of young adults striving for holiness within modern society by building our daily lives upon the four gospel cornerstones of prayer, service, simplicity, and community.

VISION
We will be centered on the Eucharist and open to the Spirit. We will resist the popular culture as much as it is a “culture of death” and participate in it as much as it is a “culture of life.” We will respond to the needs of our local community and seek solidarity with the ones we serve as they lead us into a closer relationship with Christ.

With St. Joseph as our patron, we will especially seek to reflect and promote ideas often associated with him: Just, quiet, chaste, teacher, protector, and carpenter.
• In being just we will seek to live out Catholic Social Teachings, recognizing the dignity of all human life and creation.
• In being quiet we will seek simplicity and humility in our actions, for “the fruit of silence is prayer.”
• In being chaste we will reject a popular culture of sexual objectification to allow ourselves, with clean hearts, to “see God.”
• In being teachers we will provide opportunities to others for spiritual and practical growth.
• In being protectors we will both seek sustainability as stewards of God’s creation and defend the most vulnerable in society, for “the Church considers matters concerning the environment and its protection intimately linked to the theme of integral human development.”
• In being carpenters we will work, often with our hands in the garden or home repair projects, and we will recognize the dignity of human work.
