Mission: Retiring Early

From www.ic.org/directory/retiringearlyfromratrace-co-housing-initiative/:

Update March 20, 2015, I seek people that share a vision similar to mine, set out below. I believe 4 to 10 people contributing $50000 to $100000 each would provide enough capital to enable construction of a new residence to accomodate all. I would be able to contribute $100000 or more if the right property and people were available. Perhaps those with less but exceptional skills could become members too but initially I would not want to have any debt so cash contributions from founding members would be essential to get started.
Over the past 5 years many wonderful people have responded to my initial posting. I have had many enlightening conversations with people that share a fairly similar vision. Please continue to share with me your great ideas and visions as it all adds to the discussion, thank you.) What follows is my original post with edits done as of March 2015.
Im 59, straight, my children are all grown and I am now single, still in good health and want to retire near the ocean on Van Island within an hour of medical facilities. Victoria to Campbell River, maybe even Cowichan Valley or Sooke.
I wonder if there are other like minded people that would like to pool finances and labor to build a small, eco aware community of young at heart (and younger ones if they wished) I dont know the details but I am a former builder and carpenter and I still have a few (fewer now as I did build one more in 2011/2012 and it was not any easier lol) houses left in me before the physical work of building is no longer enjoyable. I envision perhaps a 2 to 10 acre parcel, maybe an existing home, but the plan would be to build a larger home, or second home for all members, a large garden for fresh veggies,(land must be arable)maybe some chickens, cows, goats, pigs, rabbits,a couple of shared vehichles, maybe a shared boat for fishing?. Living a simpler slower life. I Still want plumbing, potable water, electricity and internet service etc are essential. (Plumbers, electricians, carpenters all welcome). Although I know little about solar and alternative energy they are also interesting. I have no religious affiliations other than Im Christian and share ideals like no tobaco, occasional alchohol, follow the golden rule, treat others as you would like to be treated and be fair about everything you do. I also believe that humor and laughter are essential to healthy day to day living. There is much more to discuss and write and nothing is cast in stone, but I just thought Id see if there are others that might have a similar vision for their retirement years. No drugs, no criminal types, I have no criminal record, I'm not a crusader trying to change the world. All I want is to know that I have a home where I can share my retirement with others in a mutually beneficial way. Living a comfortable but simple lifestyle by the ocean. People with morals, and a good sense of humor. Intelligent, enthusiastic, life long learners. If that sounds like you then please share your vision.
Another update is that I have taken an interest in the benefits of Yoga and although I know very little about it I would like to learn and I can see it as being a part of my future. Another update is that after a long absence from music I have taken up finger style picking again on the guitar and music has become a daily activity again. So musicians and Yoges are most welcome. I still love my pasta with meat sauce but am also graduating to a more green diet. I am a very open minded sort and would still like to hear from folks, young or old that think along the same lines.
I just read about Bryn Gweled through the link. It sounds very similar to what I envision. It is a very interesting website. I hope to hear from you.
