Meet the neighbors:

Mission: The basis of Taman Petanu is a deep commitment to preserve and enhance Bali’s environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability. It is being created to demonstrate a model for sustainable living and community empowerment that upholds the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which balances our harmony with man, nature, and God or Universal Energy.

The Taman Petanu Eco Neighborhood is a beautiful 1.5 Hectare property just 15 minutes south of Ubud, Bali. The founders came together and began to form the community vision in 2009. As of December 2015, construction on the common facilities has finished and half of members' homes are completed or under construction.

The neighborhood includes 18 self-contained private plots, which are supported by a range of common access facilities including: centralized waste and wastewater treatment, permaculture landscaping, pool, playground, barbecue & gathering area, amphitheater and pavilion for workshops and events. When purchasing a lot, members also purchase a share in the common facilities proportional to their lot size.

Please see our website for updated details on opportunities to purchase a lot or live in the neighborhood.
